Mothers Day - March 15th

Mothers Day is only just round the corner and its about time we should start thinking about what to get our Mums, Nans, Aunts or any of the women who have given us love and have influenced us in our lives. I guess this entry is aimed more towards the guys because lets face it your not always great at remembering the important dates. So I thought I would help you out by coming up with a Mothers Day Wish List.

'Love You Mummy' Keyring
This is such a sweet idea and Mums/Nans would love this. Especially with the personal touch with individual lettering making it a special 'one of a kind' gift. It starts at £10 for the message key ring and then £3 for each extra lettered pebble. You can add up to 4 pebbles.

Tartan Dog

The sun is trying to show its face but its still cold outside and I'm getting a bit bored of my winter coats so I'm thinking of new ways to keep warm. My favourite way at the moment is getting a HUGE scarf, wrapping it around my neck and placing a broche to secure the ends.
In fact this whole outfit started because I love my dogtooth skirt from Zara and I could easily wear it everyday. Wear the same outfit twice, you say?? Noo I would never do that, but wear that same item of clothing but in a different style? Yes! All the time. Its so easy to get caught up in one outfit and can't think of another way of wearing it. This is what I love doing. I want to get the most of my money. If I've spent £50 on a skirt I want to wear it 50 times to get my moneys worth's. This is why I think its important to buy timeless pieces. Fashion goes around in circles. I'm sure it wont be long till Denim skirts are back in fashion. In fact I've only just gone and brought myself a pair of flared jeans (post coming soon) and I've got a feeling it will be out with the skinny's and in with the flares this spring.
P.S Don't be afraid to mix your patterns, just as long as the colours match you can't go wrong.

Keep your eyes peeled.

Holly.

Linzi Shoe's S/S15 Collection

Happy Valentines Day.

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to Linzie Shoes S/S15 Collection and what a wonderful collection it is. Its put me right in the mood for some summer sun. Goodbye winter boots, hello open toes.
With this being the first event I have ever been invited to with 'My Sophisticated Secrets' I was very nervous but the nerves were soon laid to rest. The ladies made me feel very welcome as soon as I entered the room. After being shown the different sections of the new collection and introduce to everyone I went about my way snapping pictures.

I want to start by showing you the Loafers which are currently online and are hot topic so get in quick to get yourself a pair. They are the perfect shoe for spring, keeping your toes covered when the wind picks up but still cool when the sun decide to come out and play. They look like Russell Bromley loafers but at a fraction of the price (I love a bargain). I would even say made just as well as Russell's.

When spring is coming to an end we need to start thinking about the summer shoe and Linzi Shoe's have it covered. They have a great selection going from day to night, flat to heel. They have a lot of colour in the new collection but the nude, black, whites and navy is what's doing it for me. The Starlene Wedge is standing out to be to be a great summer hit, especially if you have a glam holiday booked (Vegas - Ibiza - Dubai).

I'm going to finish off with my favourite shoe I saw at the event. Its not a heel, sandal or a loafer but a trainer. Linzi Shoes have not long launches the Skater/Trainer collection and I've got a feeling its going to be getting better. I cant wait to order the bronzed leopard print trainers below, teamed with black ripped jeans and a black bomber they will look great.

The Spring/Summer Collation is launching in March so not long to wait.

Animal Print

I'm not a big fan of animal print so if I wear it it has to be subtle. I have been obsessing over my green snake print trousers from Zara since I brought them. They can be dressed up or down. If your not someone who is adventurous with colour then subtle printed trousers are a great start.
