Tartan Dog

The sun is trying to show its face but its still cold outside and I'm getting a bit bored of my winter coats so I'm thinking of new ways to keep warm. My favourite way at the moment is getting a HUGE scarf, wrapping it around my neck and placing a broche to secure the ends.
In fact this whole outfit started because I love my dogtooth skirt from Zara and I could easily wear it everyday. Wear the same outfit twice, you say?? Noo I would never do that, but wear that same item of clothing but in a different style? Yes! All the time. Its so easy to get caught up in one outfit and can't think of another way of wearing it. This is what I love doing. I want to get the most of my money. If I've spent £50 on a skirt I want to wear it 50 times to get my moneys worth's. This is why I think its important to buy timeless pieces. Fashion goes around in circles. I'm sure it wont be long till Denim skirts are back in fashion. In fact I've only just gone and brought myself a pair of flared jeans (post coming soon) and I've got a feeling it will be out with the skinny's and in with the flares this spring.
P.S Don't be afraid to mix your patterns, just as long as the colours match you can't go wrong.

Keep your eyes peeled.

Animal Print

I'm not a big fan of animal print so if I wear it it has to be subtle. I have been obsessing over my green snake print trousers from Zara since I brought them. They can be dressed up or down. If your not someone who is adventurous with colour then subtle printed trousers are a great start.

Bomber Babe

I LOVE SALES!!! I enjoy sifting through the rails trying to find a bargain and that's exactly what I did in Zara with this light weight bomber jacket. From £69.99 to £15.99 I walked away laughing. This bomber is going to be perfect for a windy spring day and with spring not far away we need to starting thinking about our new wardrobe.

Style Is What You Pick..

Christmas is over and we are sat snuggled up on the sofa, watching films and in food comas. What a wonderful Christmas its been spent with family and friends. My Christmas stocking was well and truly filled to the tops with goodies.
During the Christmas period I love dressing up and looking smart and this year was no exception. Christmas Eve was spent it with one half of my family 'The Painters'.

Keeping the outfit casual but smart I wore a white shirt with a slogan jumper from ASOS
I love this look. Its so simple but as its Christmas I needed to add a bit of sparkle so what better way? A huge diamante spider broche.

Christmas Day

Adrian and I woke up early and could easily of been more excited then any 5 year olds. Stockings from Santa were opened first and then our stocking to each other followed by the rest of our presents to each other. I must say Adrian really did out do himself this year. A few pieces are going to be worth blogging about. One stocking filler was a Selfie Stick (what I've always wanted) it came in handy through out the day.

Both Adrian and I share the same love of wearing thought out outfits, can't have one of us looking 100% fabulous and the other well.. 10%  If I get clothes for Christmas I try to wear it on Christmas day. Adrian had brought me a classic style shirt which was perfect to match up with my new neck tie from ASOS.

Let the coat do the talking

Its easy to get into a bad habit of wearing all black and who can blame you, its a flattering colour. When wearing black from head to toe you still need to stand out from the crowd and the way to do it? Having a statement coat. This doesn't mean the coat needs to be brightly coloured. A coat which is black can still work, it just needs a good fit and cut.

Lets start with the base layer..
Black Top | Black Jeans | Black Boots

With the simplest of simple layers done, lets look at the coats. I have a real love for the Dogtooth print. Its sophisticated and simple.
The first coat is a vintage number from my nans wardrobe. It originally use to be a dress but with her handy sewing skills she turned it into a coat, so its a one off I'm afraid ladies but I've seen lots of similar coats in this style.
In The Style have a few similar.

Coat number two is more of a oversized cardigan and once again its from my Nans wardrobe but I  found a corker in Zara which isn't on the website! Zara is on point with its style at the moment.

The final coat is last seasons from Zara but with the leather sleeves its still on trend with no look of going out of fashion any time soon. I have found an American website which seem to be doing an exact match Ali Express

Can you believe it a whole post with no pop of colour and its all Black Black Black.

Black the leading colour in fashion.

Sophisticated Secrets

I've turned 25!! I'm officially a grown up and can't get away with the trouble I cause if I get caught. Last Thursday I celebrated by 25th birthday and as a birthday treat from my boyfriend we went to see Matilda. A top show with great songs and huge energy not to mention a brilliant set. If you need Christmas presents ideas I would recommend Matilda, great for adults and children.
As I mentioned last week in my blog my sense of style is growing up and the outfit I wore to the theatre showed this off again once more. With the outfit being head to toe from Zara its my ideal outfit. Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE ZARA

His and Hers

When I first started my blog my boyfriend didn't see the point in it so I was very surprised the other night when he asked if he could join in on the photos. We had gone out for dinner to celebrate my Nans 80th. The day before I had gone shopping and drained my card in Zara. If I had to shop in one shop only for the rest of my life this would be the shop. I LOVE IT!! I manage to buy two compete outfits, shoes the lot.

Over the last few months I have seen my style change, I've grown up and this outfit for me shows this. No more mini skirts, bare legs and platform shoes for me!

I felt like a young lady with a cute twist wearing this outfit. The skirt has a thick waist band which makes it comfortable to wear. The top has a high but loose roll neck and the boots just finish it off.

Adrian has a love for suits and bow ties and this outfit is showing this off to its full potential. Its a clash of all patterns but with the colours working which each other it doesn't matter. Every little detail had been thought about.

Wrap Up Warm.

I Love Autumn!

Autumn is my favourite time of year. Nothing wakes me up quicker then breathing in the crisp, fresh air on a early Saturday morning. With the air being so sharp you have to wrap up warm and that's exactly what I did. I wrapped myself up in the biggest scarf I could find. A great purchase from H & M. Its cosy with a subtle Aztec print making it a perfect match for the crisp autumn Saturdays.

Matching this all with a Tassel handbag made me very happy. I seem to be buying every tassel bag I come across as the moment so you will be seeing a lot more tassel from me.
