Basic Boys

I'm all for dress down Sundays but this doesn't always mean staying in your pyjamas all day. Sometimes just sometimes you have to adventure outside for a few hours and the last thing you want to be doing is getting all dress up in a well thought out outfit. You want something easy to put on but still look acceptable. Walking around in your onsie may seem like a good idea at the time but trust me that look needs to stay at home. On days like this bovver boots, jeans and a jumper do it just right for me.

This look is Army inspired and can be very popular with the guys. Adrian is very fond of this look. Girl don't be afraid to dress down like the guys do. Be confident with what your wearing.

In other news I've just invested in a new Nikon Camera so in a few blogs time my picture will be better quality, I'm just still learning how to use it.

Let the coat do the talking

Its easy to get into a bad habit of wearing all black and who can blame you, its a flattering colour. When wearing black from head to toe you still need to stand out from the crowd and the way to do it? Having a statement coat. This doesn't mean the coat needs to be brightly coloured. A coat which is black can still work, it just needs a good fit and cut.

Lets start with the base layer..
Black Top | Black Jeans | Black Boots

Top - Zara | Belt - Primark | Jeans - New Look | Boots - Vintage

With the simplest of simple layers done, lets look at the coats. I have a real love for the Dogtooth print. Its sophisticated and simple.
The first coat is a vintage number from my nans wardrobe. It originally use to be a dress but with her handy sewing skills she turned it into a coat, so its a one off I'm afraid ladies but I've seen lots of similar coats in this style.
In The Style have a few similar.

Coat number two is more of a oversized cardigan and once again its from my Nans wardrobe but I  found a corker in Zara which isn't on the website! Zara is on point with its style at the moment.

The final coat is last seasons from Zara but with the leather sleeves its still on trend with no look of going out of fashion any time soon. I have found an American website which seem to be doing an exact match Ali Express

Can you believe it a whole post with no pop of colour and its all Black Black Black.

Black the leading colour in fashion.

Leather Affair

The clocks go back today which means summer is finally OVER! The mornings are darker and the evenings are getting colder. I've started my autumn with a River Island checked shirt and a Faux leather skater skirt from Missguided with lots of accessories.

Its an easy outfit which can go from day through to night, when your trying to fit so much into one day that's what you need. Don't be afraid to embrace the hat. I'm seeing so many girls wearing hats this season and you have to be brave and embrace it.

Be Confident.
